Location and leisure activities:
The apartment is located in the south of the picturesque Langwies in walking distance to the train station (about 2 minutes). In the center there is a village shop, which offers all necessary and regional products.
The apartment can be wonderfully used as a starting point for a variety of sporting activities. The nearby canyon invites you on an enchanting walk through the Prätschwald both in summer and in winter.
The area around Arosa, however, does not only make hiking hearts beat faster: Ski and snowboarders as well as mountain bikers get their money's worth.
If you do not shy away from driving, you can look forward to more breathtaking views. B. reward in the Rhine Gorge or Lake Cauma.
Domestic equipments:
The apartment offers space for four people with two bedrooms. The rear bedroom (marked with SZ2 in the floor plan) can only be reached via the balcony.
The open kitchen is extensively equipped (fridge, dishwasher, oven, ceramic hob, coffee maker, toaster, kettle, raclette set, espresso maker). The open fireplace in the living room contributes to the cozy atmosphere of the apartment. Free Wi-Fi and flat screen TV (in the living room) with satellite reception are also provided as standard.
The bathroom has a shower, vanity, toilet and a hair dryer.
The balcony in southwestern orientation offers a wonderful view of the surrounding mountains, which invites you in the summer to a wonderful breakfast on the balcony (table and 4 chairs available).

Ski resort Arosa-Lenzerheide:
The ski area is very varied with its 225 km of slopes and 41 cable cars. It is just for children and beginners very beginner friendly. But there are also challenges for the advanced and true experts, such as half-pipe and fun park as well as various black runs.
The ski area can be easily reached by train from Langwieser train station. The train station is just 130 meters from the apartment. Arrived in Arosa, it is only a few meters from the train station to the ticket office (and entrance to the ski area). The stops from Arosa to Langwies are included in the ski pass, so there are no additional costs for the train journey.
Tip: For early bookers, the operator of the ski area currently offers the "First Minute Deal", with which the ski passes can be purchased at a lower cost by up to 40%.

Summary: We had a very pleasant week in Langwies and enjoyed the property very much. The location was ideal, close to the railway station, the local shop and numerous walks. The views from the property were wonderful and the interior of the property was nice and homely. Unlike some other holiday homes that are very bare, this property was very well equipped and full of books and other items that made one feel at home.

Summary: A very nice and quiet place to stay with a wonderful view. The location is perfect for hiking in the mountains. Nice atmosphere in the house and a very friendly owner who made us feel very welcome. Our only remark would be that the beds were a bit hard for our taste. Furthermore just perfect!

Summary: We stayed one week in William's flat and we didn't regret our choice ! It was clean and welcoming. And the view... Waow ! And more, the flat is near from a train station leading to the nearest towns. William, the owner, is really available by message and very kind. I recommend 100% !

Summary: The apartment is on the 2nd floor of a building just 100metres up the hill from Langwies station. We arrived and departed by train from Zurich airport very easily. The train continues 15-20mins up to the ski town of Arosa which was the reason for our visit. There are also plenty of hiking/biking trails (summer & winter) and a community ice rink up the hill in the village centre. The apartment has a view over the famous Langwies Viaduct and the rest of the valley, it’s a good setting. The kitchen is well equipped, look for the cutlery in the drawer under the dining table. The second bedroom took us a while to find (!), it is accessed from the balcony. Beds are comfy, apartment was clean dry and warm. All the directions are written in German so if yours is a bit rusty use the translation app on your phone. You’ll need it to turn on the hot water (which is plentiful once on) and so you know where to empty the bins. William is a responsive host and happy to help with any queries.

Summary: The apartment is comfortable and in a great location. There is a lot to explore, right from the front door. We especially enjoyed being able to start several ski tours right from the apartment.

Summary: The return to source in Switzerland was total ! William allowed us to get away completly with his typical, beautiful and relax flat in a cottage. The big balcony gave us a stunning view on valley and mountains. Taking our own breakfast the morning, lunch and dinner on it are fabulous on summer and we found that the flat was very confortable, homely and well equipped. Thanks again to William for this quiet and nice place.
